Melbourne Not-for-profit and Social Enterprise Meetup

[Original Post 23 November 2010]

If you work for/have your own not-for-profit or social enterprise, and you’re interested in discussing collaborative opportunities in 2011 please join us at Kinfolk Café for lunch this Thursday from 12.30pm.

Clare Irwin (@webbyclare) will be in town and we thought it might be the perfect chance to start following up conversations we’ve all been having at events like:

There’s a strong feeling around that next year is going to be a cracker year for social innovation and social entrepreneurship in Australia. We’re keen to hit the ground running in 2011 and thinking – when better to start than now.

I’d also like to introduce you to the magic that is Hub Melbourne. So for those who can make an afternoon of it – we’ll be heading upstairs from Kinfolk Café to Hub Melbourne afterward for a tour, and to hear more about The Unreasonable Project and Doing Something Good.

Please leave a comment below (with your email address or twitter handle):

1. to let us know whether you’ll be joining us;

2. to give us details on your campaign, enterprise or project;

3. if you’d be interested in regular monthly meetups and what format you would prefer; or

4. if you have any suggestions or ideas on platforms or programs to connect and empower those doing social good in Australia.

This is an informal event – hence the short notice – so please indicate if you’d be interested in similar events and I’ll contact you as soon as we’ve organised the next meetup – with more notice. ;) It’s quite possible this could turn in to a regular monthly meetup group – so stay tuned.

I look forward to seeing you soon.
